Itmad-Ud-Daulah – This mausoleum located on the left bank of River Yamuna was built by Nur Jahan in the memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. The tomb is small in comparison with other tombs in the city. The building spread over an area of 250 square feet and made of red sandstone and white marble. The complex has numbers of graves for Nur Jahan relatives and inside the main tomb there is graves for his father and mother set side by side.
Fatehpur Sikri – Fatehpur Sikri is located at a distance of 35 kilometers from Agra and also one of the World Heritage Sites. It is a well planned city built by great Mughal Emperor Akbar. Fatehpur Sikri is seated on a rocky platform over an area of 3 kilometres. The entire complex was built of red sandstone and designed marble inlay work. Important structures within the city are Jama Masjid, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Aam, Naubat Khana, Panch Mahal, Birbal’s House, Mariam-uz-Zamani’s Palace and Buland Darwaza (main entrance gate).
